The Christmas season is an opportunity to encounter Hope, Peace, Love, and Joy. This year we consider how God meets us amidst “The Hopes and Fears of All the Years”
Worship
Sundays in December
We worship every Sunday at 9:30am & 11:00am, in-person or online. During December our services include the lighting of the Advent wreath, extra music, and messages that speak to getting the most out of Christmas.
Blue Christmas
A service for those who are stressed, lonely, or hurting. Sunday, December 15th at 7:00pm. Reflective, simple, and filled with space for any and all of the difficult feelings that can accompany the holiday season.
Christmas Eve
All our Christmas Eve services include your favorite carols and “Silent Night” by candle light.
The 1 & 3pm Services are designed with children in mind- with visits from our puppets.
The 5 & 7pm Services include choir, instrument ensemble, bells, and a message to bring hope.
Children love and are welcome at all our services.

Christmas Craft Fun Day
Ornaments, cookies, decorations… kids make it all at this energy and spirit filled afternoon. Join us December 8th from 2-4pm for crafting, activities, and treats.
Special Events for Children
Children’s Musical
Experience the meaning of the Christmas Story through the voices and joy of our children. Join us for “The Smallest Christmas Star,” December 11th at 6pm.
Christmas Eve Services
We welcome your children, and any noises or busyness they bring with them, at all our services. Always. We have designed our 1 & 3pm Christmas Eve services with shorter attention spans in mind. With multiple puppet vignettes and a faster rhythm to the service.
Advent Study for Adults
Learn about the places and people in the Christmas story as you prepare your heart and soul to experience wonder, awe, mystery, and joy.
December 4th -December 18th, Wednesdays at noon and 7pm
Music
Music Sunday
Every Sunday in Advent is filled with the wonderful sounds of Christmas… December 8th just has more! The choir, bells, instrument ensemble, and organ accompany incredible music to experience and join in.

CSU Holiday Concert
The CSU choral area presents the popular annual holiday event! Kick off your holiday season on December 3rd at 7:30pm with the Chamber Choir, directed by Dr. James Kim, the Concert Choir, directed by Dr. Nathan Payant, and the University Chorus for an evening filled with good cheer and festive favorites.
Bach Christmas Oratorio
Bach’s Christmas Oratorio celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ with a monumental work. Structured in six cantatas, it narrates the nativity story through a blend of scripture, poetry, and music. First Church hosts the Colorado Bach Ensemble December 21st at 7:30 pm.
