Fort Collins Wins Food Drive Showdown
Fort Collins showed its heart and generosity in the Boulder-Fort Collins food drive showdown, winning 6,259 to 524. First United Methodist led the effort to crush hunger (and Boulder) with incredible community response. “Fort Collins is what community looks like at its best. The word ‘stalwart’ comes to mind to describe the generosity we saw,” said Rev. Bradley Laurvick of First UMC.
Three United Methodist churches in Boulder challenged First UMC to a competition leading up to the CU-CSU game. All the donated items and funds collected at First Church are going to the Food Bank for Larimer County.
